Data and Document Handling Policy

Effective date: August 31, 2026

This policy explains how LaunchPad Consulting handles grant drafts and related files you send for LaunchReview or consulting. It sits next to our Privacy Policy and AI Use and Limitations Disclosure.

What we receive

You may send narrative drafts, attachments, notes, and funder links. Treat anything you upload as something a reviewer will read. Remove information you are not allowed to share.

How we treat your documents

  • Your draft is confidential work product. We use it to review or, on writing plans, to help you revise that draft.
  • We do not sell your documents.
  • We do not publish customer proposals.
  • We do not use customer proposals as exemplars, samples, or training material for other customers without your written permission.
  • We do not copy language from funded proposals in our files and return that language to you. You get a critique of your draft, not someone else’s winning text.

Where files live

Uploads and form submissions are processed through this Squarespace site and our email. On AI plans, the draft is also sent to the AI systems that generate the review. On human-support plans, Amy or a designated reviewer reads the draft. We do not put your proposal in a public prompt library or a public demo.

AI processing

AI-only plans require a machine to read the text you submit. We use third-party AI vendors for that step. We do not use your documents to market LaunchReview. Where a vendor lets us disable use of your content to train their public models, we do so. Vendors still process the text to return a review. See the AI Use and Limitations Disclosure.

Human-support plans

On AI + Human Review and AI + Human Writing, a person reads your draft. That person is bound to keep it confidential. Your document is not handed to other clients.

Retention and deletion

We keep drafts while your account or engagement is active, and for a reasonable time after so we can support you and keep records. Email Amy@LaunchPadConsulting.org to ask us to delete a specific draft or close an account. Invoices and legal records may be kept as required by law. Deleted files may remain in encrypted backups for a short period until those backups rotate.

Your job as the applicant

You remain responsible for every sentence you later submit to a funder. Check facts, citations, budgets, and eligibility yourself. LaunchReview does not file the application for you unless a separate writing engagement says so.
