AI Use and Limitations Disclosure

LaunchReview uses artificial intelligence on some plans. This page says which ones, what the software does, and what it does not do.

Which packages use AI, and which include a human

• Free trial ($0). AI only. One review of a single draft. No human read.
• Starter ($49.99/mo intro). AI only. One grant a month, unlimited AI reviews of that same grant.
• Plus ($100/mo). AI only. Unlimited AI reviews of up to three grants a month.
• Unlimited ($500/mo). AI only. Unlimited AI grant reviews.
• AI + Human Review (custom). AI first, then a human reviewer pass.
• AI + Human Writing (custom). AI plus hands-on writing with Amy.

If a plan name says AI and does not say human, a person is not reading your draft.

What the AI review is

The software reads the draft you submit and returns a reviewer-style critique: strengths, gaps, and what a funder is likely to flag. It is a diagnostic. It is not a substitute for a principal investigator, a sponsored-programs office, or counsel.

What it is not

• No funding guarantee. LaunchReview does not guarantee funding. Award decisions are the funder’s.
• Not someone else’s winning grant. We do not copy funded proposal language and give it to you.
• Not a fact-checker you can skip. AI can miss things and can be wrong. Verify every claim, citation, and figure before you submit.
• Not automatic filing. You still prepare and submit the application.

Your documents

Drafts sent through an AI plan are processed by third-party AI systems in order to produce your review. We do not use your proposal as an exemplar for other customers without your written permission. Details are in the Data and Document Handling Policy.

Human review

If you need a person, choose AI + Human Review or AI + Human Writing, or book a conversation. Those engagements are scoped and priced separately from the monthly AI plans.
